:::oDesk Marketing Stuff::: i've been getting work through this website. it involves working from home, and can range from web design to accounting to graphic design to customer service to transcription to data entry to creative writing to research and administration and so on and so forth. the list is long, but you get the idea. if you want to post a job and hire people, click this link to sign up: ![]() if you want to look for a job and earn money, click this link to sign up (if there is a section that asks who referred you, put "arkisaeo"): ![]() :::and for the record, it is not a scam, i've already earned approx. $300 for web design and data entry work (and had it transfered to paypal/bank account etc.) arrrr. :: +Memory :: Tell a Friend :: 1 reply :: Reply ok, so i just compiled a brief list of other hotels within a mile radius (most within a few blocks of walking distance) from the double tree.
the list is for 1 guest, to give an idea of pricing, though some of the hotels would hold at least 4 guests in a room without raising price. also, some of the rooms are efficiencies and either have separate living rooms, bedrooms, sofabeds, etc. some also have kitchens, as well as balconies and/or smoking available. (though i didnt bother to list all of which was what, just the basic stuff) Candlewood Suites::: 1 Queen - $54.99 Standard Room - $54.99 1 Queen w/sofabed, etc. - $67.99 Quality Inn::: all of the quality inn rooms are available for $69.99 1 king 1 queen 2 queen 2 double Staybridge Suites::: all staybridge rooms are available for $79.99 1 king 1 queen efficiency standard room Courtyard (Marriott)::: 1 king w/sofa - $79 2 queens - $89 Hampton Inn::: 1 queen - $79 1 king - $85 2 double - $89 1 king suite w/sofa - $99 Residence Inn::: 1 queen w/sofa and/or suite - $89 to $99 (pending if its suite, etc. or not) Holiday Inn::: 1 king - $91.67 2 double - $97.67 standard - $103.67 some of the rooms are only a few dollars cheaper, but its still saving money, and the candlewood is over $50 cheaper (and also the furthest away). but theres an idea of the other pricing in the area for that weekend... i've been seeing a lot of confusion to hotel prices for the double tree wicked winter is supposed to be held at next year...
so, i'm going to post what i have found so far. the dates i am using are from feb 19 (check in) to feb 22 (check out), and i am only including the 'internet rate', not the 'senior rate' or the 'bed and breakfast' stuff. For 1 - 2 people::: doing an initial search from doubletree.com for a hotel in somerset, nj, the initial starting price is: $175.00 if you click on the 'view rates' button and do NOT enter the group code (WRF), the prices are: 1 king bed - $175 1 king bed junior suite - $339 if you DO enter the WRF code (in the GROUP/CONVENTION code area), the prices are: 2 double beds - $109 1 king bed - $109 1 king bed/wheelchair access - $109 For 3 people::: without the group code: 1 king bed - $195 1 king bed junior suite - $349 with the group code: 2 double beds - $119 1 king bed - $119 1 king bed/wheelchair access - $119 For 4 people::: without the group code there is nothing available. with the group code: 2 double beds - $129 1 king bed - $129 1 king bed/wheelchair access - $129 Anything with over 4 people apparently you have to make multiple reservations (they don't give any option to select higher than 4). I have also checked surrounding hotels in the area (Quality inn, Holiday Inn, Hampton Inn, Extended Stay, etc.) All of them range from $20-$40 cheaper than Double Tree's lowest price. (starting around $60 per night and up -though that doesnt include taxes, and neither does the initial $109 price). I have been checking the double tree prices on a daily bases, and there have been major and minor fluctuations in the pricing. last week, the $109 price was at $105 without the group code. earlier this week the $175 price was at $275. that is very, very shady work... and so is the previous public post.
i am in a bit of a bad way right now, for cash and such (as i'm sure we all are, with the lovely economy and such... ). As it stands right now, I have no job (though I have been searching, applying, etc. etc. daily). And I am extremely in debt (college loans, hospital bills, unemployment. --yes, i owe money to the unemployment jerks..long story). While I am applying for work, and trying to get my photo site back up (or at least the prints section.. which is taking a lot longer than expected...), I have, unfortunately, have had to give in and start selling childhood memories on ebay (toys, videos, etc.), and I have even attempted to start selling prints on deviant. and i fucking loathe deviant. goes to show how desperate i am becoming i suppose.. somewhat. anyway, photos of macro things and landscape things and other things are available here::: http://arkisaeo.deviantart.com/ i hate money, but its an unfortunate necessary evil i suppose. if you are not a friend, this is the only post you will ever see.
all others are private/friends only postings. if i know you, and like you, i will add you. if you wish to become friends otherwise (and i don't know you), i dare you to say hello and see where things go from there. |
